Video Interview by DeadEndHipHop | SMKA’s The Hang Out

The good folks from DEHH came through The Hang Out to talk with Mike Walbert and Kato for a few minute… here is that video.

Atlanta production collective, SMKA, blocked out 882 Studios for 4 days, and invited many of Atlanta’s most talented and progressive hip-hop artists to hang out, eat, drink, collaborate and make music. The Hang Out took place from February 7 — 10, and for 14 hours a day, 4 days straight, Justin Padron, of 882 Studios, recorded artists over SMKA production.

The Hang Out compilation features more than 50 different artists on 20 original records produced entirely by 808 Blake and Kato of SMKA. The Hang Out showcases the depth of talent, and diversity, that makes Atlanta’s hip-hop community the most creative and influential in the world.

New New from MG.com…great to see these two working together again.

“Well, I was in the building with Killer Mike and Big Boi a couple nights ago when they leaked the “Ready, Set, Go” remix via ustream. Sat down with them and talked about them burying their hatchet…and then actually making music again. This is how I’m rocking now, I’m putting my face on the camera shawty…trying to get my Arnell Starr on. So expect alot more of this with the homie Tory from UNN/Vitamin E Films.

Oh yeah…we wanted to get this to you WAY earlier but vimeo was with the BS today. Enjoy!” – MG

VIDEO // Behind the Music: The Making of "Think You're In Love" w/ 7King & Alexandrea Lushington

Video of 7king working on the guitar for “Think You’re In Love.” One of the few Pop songs on The 808 Experiment: Vol 2, Alexandrea’s vocals and 7King’s guitar make this a very funky track.
