2010 A3C Hip-Hop Festival

The 2010 A3C Hip-Hop Festival (6th Year) is one of the largest hip-hop festivals in the US. 250+ artists performed during the 2 days and 3 nights, from Oct 7-9th @ the Masquerade Music Complex in Atlanta, GA.

Mike Walbert, of SMKA, was the Artist Director for the 2010 A3C Hip-Hop Festival.

A3C incorporates Educational Music Industry Panels that are invaluable to students interested in the music industry. (Info Here)

There are dozens of showcases that take place throughout the festival, including: SMKA, Fadia Kader & The Smoking Section’s Perfect Attendance, 2Dopeboyz, Allhiphop.com, Okay Player, Women in Hip-Hop, High Water, Kevin Nottingham, Quality Control’s Bay Area Rap Teamup, Mello Music Group, DJBooth.net, and many more.

A3C is an ALL AGES event that included 2 outdoor stages and 3 indoor stages. In addition to music there are music industry panels during the day, an iStandard beat battle, a B-Boy Battle, Needle to the Record, RedBull 45′s and much more. Lastly, the final day of the festival, Saturday-Oct 9th, will have music ALL DAY starting at 11am outdoors.

Weapons of Audio – "Kill My Boss" (prod. Artist Sensey of SMKA)

Weapons of Audio will release their debut album, “BIPOLAR” on [10/21/10]. The album combines electro-pop melodies with hip hop lyricism, representing the bi-polar nature of the duo. With gripping vocals, shredding guitars, and rapid fire raps, brothers Jeremy & Floyd bring a fresh and danceable sound to a music industry of clones.

Creative Loafing – 2010 A3C Hip Hop Festival: Alien Warr + Videos

After beating his mother’s pots and pans to a pulp at a young age, he received his first drum set. Since then, Alien Warr has backed some of the biggest artists in town, including B.o.B. and Travis Porter. Now the 28-year-old has partnered with Big Heed to release the single “Tipsy,” and is also behind the sound of rock band Era of the StereoGraph. In prep for this weekend’s A3C Festival, he breaks down his biggest influences.

Each night at A3C the Unique Squared stage will turn into a room for Stargazing. The stars (and some would say freaks) come out at night. We will be rocking till 2:30 every night, shutting down the A3C Hip-Hop Festival with live performances and Alien Warr on Drums (if you don’t know about him, google it).
