With over 50+ remixes submitted in the Shut Up Bitch Remix competition submitted in January we decided to narrow the playing field to 5, and have the fans vote on their favorite.

To vote for your favorite Remix, simply DL the MP3 from bandcamp. Yes, you can DL more than one.

We will end voting on Feb 29th and announce a winner.

If you are from Atlanta, Outkast is the most influential and creative artists in hip-hop history. Their legacy continues to shape the creative sound coming from the south, and they have directly influenced many of the most talented artists coming out of Atlanta today. The Dub Below is an ode to Outkast. This project infuses some of Outkast’s most memorable records with Dubstep, a genre that has reshaped the nightlife/club scene and has begun to have a major influence on hip-hop as well.

Aleon Craft explores the other side of the music spectrum to present “CRAFT SINGLES,” featuring 8 deluxe slices from the indie rock world. Craft makes it no secret that is he often feels misunderstood and unfairly labeled as a “rapper.” He writes, “People think I’m weird because I think abstractly” over Girls’ Carolina, a 7:44 minute master piece. Frequently pulling inspiration from different genres, CRAFT SINGLES was conceived by Aleon Craft after many sessions of listening to new music with 808 Blake of SMKA. “Craft Single is a collection of songs by a few of the artists that I vibe out to on my down time, and who I highly respect. Come take this ride with me, and I know you’ll enjoy it,” says Craft.

“As we all predicted, Aleon Craft’s newest release is an ode to the powers of Patron that sounds like is came straight out of a European club. No wait, I’m sorry, that’s what everyone else is doing. Never happy unless he’s swimming against the current, new school ATlien and DJBooth Freestyle alum Aleon Craft is back with another leak and, much like his last leaks Don’t Gotta Work It Out and Broken Paradise, new premiere Carolina (Speed of Sound) draws its inspiration from a very unusual source – Pitchfork darlings and indie rock staples Girls. This time around production crew SMKA takes the original, druggy haze of the Girls’ Carolina and adds some bounce via uptempo percussion (call it a Solar-Hop Remix), giving Aleon the room to rhyme about both his insistence on maintaining an unconventional style and the simple pleasures in life; like, say, perfectly round booties.
