“Alien” 25th Best Song of 2009 // Surviving The Golden Age

Its always nice to get put on “Best of” Lists. And we like to celabrate with a nice glass of scotch and a blog post when we do. Thanks to surviving the golden age for putting “Alien” the 25th (of 50) best song of 2009!

25. SMKA featuring Jay West, Savage & Gilles “Alien”
From the start of the year when I recieved SMKA’s mixtape, this track was my sleeper pick for the end of the year countdown. SMKA is not a household name even in his native land of Atlanta, but maybe he should be. The track he produces in “Alien” is catchy, danceable, and insouciant. The humorous verses from Jay West, Savage, and Gilles just add to the festivities.
